Rules for the use of Greener Camping Club Certificated Sites

General

  • Greener Camping Club Certificated Sites are for the exclusive use of its Members. In order to stay at a Greener Camping Club Certificated Site, at least one member of each occupied camping pitch, or pre-erected structure must hold a valid membership to the Greener Camping Club. Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December each year.

  • The Greener Camping Club accepts no liability for loss or damage to persons or property, arising from the use of its Certificated Sites.

  • The activities of The Greener Camping Club are guided by The Country Code, Marine Conservation Society Seaside Code and the Caravan Code.

Upon Arrival

  • The speed limit on Greener Camping Club Certificated Sites is 5 mph.

  • Members must produce a valid membership card when requested to do so by the Site Owner.

  • Members may only pitch where directed to by the Site Owner.

  • For fire and safety reasons, tents, trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes must be pitched so that the outside edge is a minimum of six metres from an adjacent unit (pup tents excepted).

During Your Stay

  • Members must follow all instructions provided by the Site Owner.

  • Members must recycle their rubbish and deal with waste water and chemical waste (where permitted) as directed by the Site Owner.

  • Dogs (where permitted), must be kept on a lead of no more than two metres at all times and never be left unattended.

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

  • Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times and there must be no noise or vehicle movements between 10.30pm and 7.30am.

  • Amplified music are not permitted. Music or other audio media must be limited to personal listening devices such as headphones.

  • Generators are not permitted

  • Campfires are not to be left unattended and must be supervised by a responsible adult.

  • Camping units are not permitted to be left unattended overnight unless agreed with Site Owner.

  • If the behaviour of a Member, or that of their children or dog(s), causes nuisance to other Members, or there is persistent violation of campsite rules herein, the Site Owner is empowered to ask the Member to cease the behaviour/violation, or leave the site immediately without refund.

  • Day visitors are only permitted with the prior agreement of the Site Owner and must report to the Site Owner upon arrival.

Departure Day

  • Members must vacate their pitch/pre-erected structure on the day of departure at the time requested by the Site Owner.

  • Vacated pitches/pre-erected structures must be left clear of all personal property and refuse

Additional Site Rules
Booking and Cancellation Terms
  • Where a pre-booked stay is not possible due to Covid-19 restrictions, campers may transfer stay dates free of charge, subject to availability and opening dates.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.

  • Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

  • Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.

  • Bookings may not be for more than 16 consecutive nights.

  • The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

  • We reserve the right to ban campfires, barbecues and open flames in the event of a heightened fire risk. Fires are not a guaranteed part of your camping stay and as such any ban will not warrant any refund.  Fires are only permitted when possible and safe.

  • The Management reserves the right to refuse at its discretion group bookings of 4 or more units travelling together.

  • No hen/stag parties permitted

  • The Management reserves the right to refuse at its discretion single-sex bookings of 3 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted)

Arrival and departure
  • New arrivals are admitted from midday until 9pm.

  • Late arrivals must notify the site as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to re-let your unit.

During your stay
  • Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

  • Open fires are permitted in raised braziers intended for the purpose or in locations specified by the campsite manager.

  • Public areas are non-smoking.

  • Firearms and other weapons of any kind are not permitted.
Vehicles
  • Campervans are limited to the panel van derived type and to a maximum of 6m in length. 'Coach-built' vans/motorhomes are not permitted.

  • Commercial vehicles (those used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site except where prior approval has been given.

  • Additional cars are not permitted when travelling with a campervan.

  • Vehicles longer than 6 metres or with twin rear axles are not permitted.
